Northeast Florida SCRC Chapter #115 Mileage Program Rules
Our chapter’s mileage program was initiated in February of 2003. The rules for awarding mileage has had only minor changes since its inception. The idea behind the program was to increase participation on our chapter’s Scheduled Club Rides and to give our members an incentive to post their own rides on our Forum on days when there isn’t a Scheduled Club Ride.
There are several ways you can earn club mileage:
1. Scheduled Club Rides. These rides appear on both our chapter website and our Delphi Forum. For a Scheduled Club Ride we will award club miles regardless of the number of riders.
2. Charity and Suggest a rides. These are posted on the Forum. Any member can post a ride on the Forum. For these rides, there must be a minimum of 5 chapter #115 members riding motorcycles to qualify for club miles. The rides must be posted a minimum of 24 hours in advance to allow other members a chance to participate. We ask that no rides be posted on a day that will conflict with a Scheduled Club Ride. If such a ride is posted, we will allow the post to remain but no miles will be awarded.
3. Overnight rides. These rides must also be posted on the Forum under Suggest a Ride. We WILL allow these rides to conflict with a Scheduled Club Ride, as those who are planning to go would miss out on that weekend club ride. We ask that these rides be posted at least a week in advance to allow other members time to make motel reservations and other arrangements. If there are at least 5 chapter members riding motorcycles, we will give club mileage and also give club miles to one additional member who is towing a trailer if that member agrees to use the trailer if another member has a breakdown. The only obligation would be to get the disabled bike to a safe place where the bike could be fixed or to that day’s motel stop.
4. State Rallies and other major events. The Southern Cruisers Riding Club encourages

5. Helping out at our chapter’s club picnics, Christmas party and other events. If a car or truck is needed to transport food and other items or we need additional help, we will give the same club mileage to a member who drives their vehicle if they have offered to help and we request their help.
6. Membership meetings. We give 50 club miles to all members who sign in at a club meeting.
7. Officer meetings. We give 50 club miles to all officers who attend the monthly officer meetings.
8. Donating Blood. If you donate blood through the Florida-
Note: For all rides, everyone MUST sign a ride waiver sheet. The earlier we receive it, the earlier your club miles will be counted and posted. For a Scheduled Club Ride, the Road Captain in charge of the ride will have a waiver / ride sheet for you to sign. If you are posting a Suggest a Ride, you can go to our chapter’s website and download a copy of the ride waiver sheet.
How miles are counted: We give round trip mileage, regardless of the route you take home or how many members ride together. The return trip mileage will always be counted as the shortest route home unless the entire group is returning together.
